Iz Tru Fax, Yo!

True fact the first: Me and my little brother is gonna come down with the mumps. My sister has it, (although apparently the milder variety, since she was immunized) and I will probably have it, since I have been a walking dartboard for stray viruses ever since 1987, and my brother will certainly have it since a) I accidentally wiped him down with my sister's towel this evening and b) he has not been immunized. This last was a new reveal to me.

Me: "Why on earth didn't you give him the MMR? Everybody gets the MMR!"
Mum: "He got fever and had a fit after the first one."
Me: "Well, why didn't you give him the rest once he got a bit older?"
Mum: "Well, I heard stuff about MMR causing autism and stuff so I figured I should let it be."
Me: "But you only heard that stuff about MMR after he was diagnosed with autism! Ever heard of stable doors and bolting horses?"
Mum: "I have no idea what you are talking about."
Me: *headdesk*

So look forward to mumps-related posts in the near future.

Me: (Feeling my cheeks nervously) "I think I'm coming down with it too, Choots. I can feel my face swelling."
Chuti: (looks closely) "Nah, it's just a wart. Or a real mother of a pimple."

True fact the second: I DO NOT GET WARTS! I didn't even get zits in secondary school! Well, not that many. Of course it's just a mosquito-bite.

True fact the third: Sisters suck out loud.

Here be the other tru fax, which are kinda useless trivia that comes in useful at parties. You know, to fill in those awkward pauses when trying to make conversation with people you've never met before and hopefully will probably never meet again.

You: "So, nice weather we're having."
Them: "Much better than last month."
You: "Yeah"
