Good: I can has gym! After a month and half of nagging, Dad finally went out and renewed our memberships at the gym. I bought a one-month membership and went every morning in May and it made me feel absolutely fit and terrific. I didn't fall sick once in that time, and my energy level was great. And now we have the six-month membership! Hello, fitness!

Bad: I am so screwed in Critical Thinking.

Good: We met Rosie Senanayake at the gym this morning! She did the ab excercises with us, and we made small talk....and I somehow wound up being set up as her daughter's excercise partner. Apparently, she is becoming overweight and needs another young person to go to the gym with her to keep her motivated. Her daughter wasn't there, because apparently she was busy sleeping in, but I said I didn't mind accompanying her since I planned to work out every other day. But I forgot to mention that I planned to be at the gym at 6 a.m on weekdays, since I'm dragging Sajiv with me and he has to be at work by 8.45 am. Given that the girl apparently likes sleeping in till 11 o'clock in the morning, I suspect this is a partnership that is not to be. But I should give her the benefit of the doubt, since it IS Saturday today.

Bad: According to Rediff, Kismat Konnection sucked. I'm not going to take it as a given that the movie will bomb, because who the hell gives a damn what Rediff thinks, but the other reviews also seem less than impressed. Poor Shahid. Definitely not another Jab We Met, then. I'm still going to watch it though. I love both the actors, the dubious taste of Vidya Balan's costumer notwithstanding, and Aziz Mirza has not let me down thus far.

Good: I has date with Sajiv today!

Bad: My post about my surprise birthday party is more than a month late. And I can't go pick up Carole's package till Monday. I is sowwy! =(

Yay for constructive gym work.

Hmm to be honest I had my doubts about KK from the beginning. I think he may have signed this movie pre-JWM? Anyway nothing was ever going to be able to top JWM so I just see this as an opportunity to oogle Shahid in something new for 2 hours and then wait for his next good movie.

by the way, ever watched U Me aur haum? And if yes, how is it? 'cause really wanted to see it and bought the dvd and there's this Indian friend that told me it wasn't even worth the watch and, since she's a Bollywood reviewer for movie mag there... am kinda thinking "drats!" and...

...OTOH, I could decide to watch and judge by myself. Or totally flip out and rely on good ol' Ash's instead! ;p

I know, KK sounded rather dicey from the beginning, what with the unusual pairing and kooky plot. I thought they were trying too hard to be hip, you know? But it's Aziz Mirza, yo! I've loved every one of his movies, even the much panned Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and especially Chalte Chalte. I guess expected him and Shahid to pull out some miracle that's beat the odds.

Dunno. I think Shahid signed this after JWM. He was out of work for months after its release, remember?

You should never trust Bollywood reviewers. Most of them seem to expect artsy Hollywood fare and rip movies apart quite unfairly when it turns out to be same old Bollywood. The thing is, we like same old Bollywood. Well, most of the time. =)

I dunno. I haven't watched it, but my sister says she's heard it's a good film. Judge for yourself, I always say.

I'm just eager to see Kismat Konnection so it's the first excuse after Jab We Met we've had to ogle Shahid Kapoor for two hours. *g*

Same to you!

Hey, any excuse to ogle Shahid Kapoor and his newfound hotness is much recommended by me, at any rate.

You know, another thing about JWM is how icon-able it is. The colors really pop out. *has no JWM icons uploaded yet. Is bad fan.* =(

Judge for yourself, I always say.

So did I...I guess I just needed a heavy excuse to spend hours in front of TV when it's oooo sunny outside... ah! nah! sun wins! but tonight, why not. It's common knowledge than french tv programs sucks even more during the big summer break! ;)

Ah see I think I have enjoyed Aziz Mirza films in the past but I can't don't remember them anymore :S So my attraction to KK wouldn't have been because of the director in any case.

Oh you might be right then about Shahid taking this up post-JWM but...hm I just thought he would have personally chosen some other 'serious' role instead of the next fluffy movie that came his way? Seems to be he wants the chance to prove he has acting chops now that JWM has been critically acclaimed. But then again what do I know? Maybe KK isn't just some fluffy movie?

LOLZ exactly.

I know that movie is so gorgeous every single scene is iconable.

*sigh* I want some other movie like JWM - smart, witty, funny, sweet, fun to come along and wow me. I am hoping Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na fills that fix for me but we will see.
