ladymirth: (damn)

Nadeesha talked me into it. It's amazing what missing your best friend and large amounts of concentrated boredom will make a person do. I was steadfastly refusing to get one, because it seems nowadays, that you aren't a certified member of the educated masses unless you're on Facebook, and I detest such conformism.

And now, I'm a traitor to my Cause. A traitor.

I suspect, if Sadhini badgers me enough, I'll break down and get Skype as well.

And then I shall only be a blog way from breaking down to Kaushalya's daily invites and succumbing to the evils of Hi5. At which point I shall have fully been inducted onto the Dark Side.

This, for people who won't even get themselves gmail accounts so they can chat with me!

I am such a pushover!

So now I have two blogs and am doubly bored. 'Cause it seems I'm the only one here without a life.

Bored. *headdesk*  Bored. *headdesk* Bored. *headdesk*

And I miss Holly.

Anybody else here, also on Facebook?

Bored. *headdesk*

Ouch!

Yeah, I'm on Facebook. Can't say I visit much. I'm not all that proud of the fact that I have one, bascially for the same reasons you have. I'm embarrassed to have a MySpace account... and I don't think I even want to know what Hi5 is...

Welcome to the land of the blog-infested. Or inflicted, whatever way you like to look at it.
Hi5 is a site infested with singularly bimbonic people. And you keep running into people you know, from school and stuff. It's jammed with Sri Lankans, which is annoying because the entire point of having a blog is so you can get away from the prats who annoy you in real life.
Anyway, are you under Sara Kraft? Would you mind if I friended you, there, then?
Would at least make my page a little less depressingly blank. =(

There are two Sara Krafts from Arizona, but I think I recognized your Superman cape pic from the OT thread on the MBs. =)

What's so bad about Skype? ;)

I had a Hi5 account too, but deleted it. It's such a stupid site, nothing you can do. *loves her LJ*

And, did I hear something about a life? Please be so kind as to check my icon. *g*

See ya,
Anna.

Nothing, except that people keep on badgering me to get an account, no matter how many times i tell them I already have an LJ. It's quite annoying when people who have just discovered blogging communities keep giving me "oh, you're soo not there yet" vibes, when I've been on Lj since I was not yet seventeen!

I refuse to get one on principle.

And for the record, I hate Hi5. Every single prat I know from my school career and a load of others besides have an account there. Blogs are supposed to tak you away from the annoyances of real life!

A toast. To all those who have no life, and are therefore free to bask in the joys of blogging. *cheers* =)

Wait, a Skype blog? I thought you were referring to Skype the calling/IMing program... (That one I have.)

*toasts along*

See ya,
Anna.

I actually don't know what Facebook is. Or Skype.

God, I must be getting old.

Nope. Not old. Just out of college. =)

FYI, they're both blog communities. Facebook boasts a majority of college students. It actually started out as a community only for college students, but now anybody over 13 can have one. I think it's about the most popular blog community running, nowadays, so we consider it a "jock cult". We nerdy, geeky types who detest netspeak defend LJ doggedly. =)

Geeks rule!!

I'm on facebook. I got really excited when my undergrad school finally hopped on the bandwagon.
