Actually, I'm just celebrating FINALLY getting ADSL at home. We two shalt be never sundered by crazy dial-up bills and modems again, my LJ! Never!!

Ahhh and there is the beautiful girl! Did you know that for the longest time I thought that picture of terri was you? Yes. This is proof of the pathetic lack of knowledge I have for pop culture.

Holly, darling! *SQUEEE!* You know, I'm starting to think you're a ghost or something. One can never seem to catch you for two comments together! How's the waittressing job?

You thought Teri's picture was MINE? Damn! I shoulda left it up there. Then everybody would have thought I looked like a supermodel and been deliciously envious. No such luck, though. Only a very select few in the world are allowed to look like that. I sometimes wonder what it would be like, you know, to be utterly gorgeous? I suppose it would be rather terrible though. You would always try to compete even harder with those who you think looks better than you, and you'd always be supremely concious of the years systematically chipping away at that perfect face and figure.

We're lucky to be only ordinarily nice-looking people. Saves a lot of bother.

You don't know what ADSL means? It's the anti-thesis of dial-up, wherein the connection is torturously slow and you have to manually connect every single time you want to get into the Internet and they bill you for every minute you spend on-line and you tie up the phone line when you're on-line. ADSL connects you to the Internet 24/7, whenever you log in, is super-fast, doesn't tie up the phone line and only charges a nominal rental fee every month.

Yay ADSL, indeed!
