Come look at my prettyful layout! Can you believe I'd been sticking with the same boring purple component layout for more than a year? Anyway, I've changed it...and it's perfect now! It took a half a day to get every little detail right. I don't know whether I'll have the heart to change it again. It's so cloudy and powdery and pretty! SQUEE!

I am so PROUD of my Hasini! You go, girl! Seriously though, that's pretty. I love pictures of mountains and clouds. Even your icon goes with it. It looks great.

Why thank you, Stevie! =) Actually it's just one picture repeating. It's the picture I took of the Cascades mountains from the plane, exactly one year back.

*huggles*

Verrrry nice! I love mountains myself :)

(Whereabouts are these Cascades mountains? We have a Cascades range in my neck of the woods, too, but I believe I'm on the complete other side of the planet from you...)

*giggle* It IS your Cascades mountains, dearling! I took this picture while flying over it a year back.

I live on an island, and we have only hills and no mountains, not really. Certainly not such spectacular snow-capped ones. I'd have to go all the way to the Himalayas in India to see some decent ones, I think. Do you live near Washington then? I've always wanted to go there just to see the apple trees. I'm crazy, I know. =)

*headdesk* *covers face in shame* You know, I *thought* they looked familiar...but seriously, I am *horrible* at recognizing these sorts of things. I didn't know you'd been over here, so I assumed they were mountains from your part of the world that just looked similar to mine!

I live very close to Portland, so near the Washington/Oregon border. We go hiking in those mountains every year in summer and winter (in winter, to get our Christmas tree!), but I haven't flown over them too many times.

Actually, I don't know how you're supposed to recognize ANYTHING from ariel pictures. It all looks the same to me. I suspect it would pretty much the same even if I were flying over Switzerland. But then, I've never flown over Switzerland, so I can't tell. =)

Wow, hiking in the mountains! You=lucky! Not that I would, mind you, I have severe vertigo. But I bet the views are to die for.

To give you a glimpse of what my neck of the woods look like, I'm going to upload a new picture for my layout, just so you can see. I'll be taking it down soon though, cause it would mess with my theme.

We actually don't get up too high in the mountains - we hike around in the foothills, and mostly in the winter to get the tree, so the snow and ice keeps us at lower elevations. Some of the views are quite awesome. And where we live, we sometimes get some great views of Mount Hood and - when we're really lucky - Mount St. Helens.

Let me know ahead of time when you're going to do the picture, or maybe you could upload it elsewhere and give me a link? We have guests - again - this weekend, so my online time is kind of hit-and-miss right now. Again. Like it has been the last month or so.
