I do it all for you, Chloe!
Sep. 21st, 2008 03:08 pmI know I swore I would never watch Smallville again, a couple of episodes into the seventh season, but for some reason I did end up watching the eighth season premiere. Mostly because I was curious about what they'd be doing without the AlMiles wonder duo and because I'd (rather belatedly) heard that my girl Allison Mack was staying on after all.
All in all, I think I may watch this season occasionally. If only to watch MOAR Justin Hartley kicking ass in a leather jacket. *slurrrp*
It was more watchable than I thought. Rather good, actually. Although seriously, Lois, a French maid? Good grief. But I have a soft spot for the Justice League, and Justin Hartley looked positively edible. I mean, he still can't act to save his life, but man that is one tasty piece of boycandy. *drools* But what happened to Chloe's bitchin' meteor power? >(
I also find it rather interesting that the only time Tom Welling's performance becomes halfway interesting is when he's around Erica Durance. Who is playing her character so close to Teri Hatcher's S1 Lois Lane that she's actually stopped annoying me. =D

Date: 2008-09-21 12:15 pm (UTC)Now, I love Allison Mack. And I love justin Hartley. Therefore I may have to rethink my vow to give up SV for good. Ahem.
(As for Chloe's power, is it me or did Brainiac transfer his IQ to her? And somehow messed up her own mojo?)

According to the Wikipedia article, it was kind of like that. I feel cheated, though. "Super-empathy" suited Chloe. And she's always been like a super-computer anyway, with her expository duty and her mad hacking skillz. >(
