Life finally trumps Eljay! Full report.
Sep. 25th, 2008 10:09 pmFLIST!
1) After a solid month averaging three to four posts a day, I now have not updated in three whole days! Clearly, University is back with a vengeance!
2) I am taking Art History again. I feel ambivalent about this. On one hand, I rejoice that I can now properly learn a subject which I would have loved last semester if I hadn't been constantly on the verge of near-hysteria and collapse about the whole Critical Thinking mess (I am a nerd of epic proportions. This I know.) On the other hand, the threat of being assigned the Byzantine era as my research topic again plagues my nightmares. Even my nerdhood doesn't stretch that far. If I am forced to hear another word about icons again, I will be forced to either kill myself or burn down Istanbul.
3) I got a B- for Critical Thinking, btw. I pulled a professional bitchfit about that until I heard that most of the rest of my former class had got Cs and Ds. Thank the gods for small favours. I guess putting my foot down and walking out of his class had been the right thing to do after all.
4) Is it Winchester Day already? Ye gods! I could've sworn that it was only a couple of days back that I watched the Season Premiere. O week, wither hast thou gone? Of course, this presents a significant problem. To also watch Crackville or not to watch Crackville, that is the question.
5) The above fact has just permeated and been processed by the braincells. The following feedback has been relayed through the central nervous system: EEEEEEEIIIIII!!!!!! IT'S WINCHESTER DAY, YOU GUISE! WHICH MEANS I'LL BE ABLE TO WATCH IT FIRST THING TOMORROW MORNING!!! ZOMGGG!!!!
6) I can haz Book Fair with Suds-girl first thing tomorrow. And then lunch. And then Cultural Anthroplogy class in the evening. And then Cultural Anth again the next morning and The Dark Knight in the afternoon (No, I haven't watched it yet. I lead a life which is alternately busy, friendless and/or broke, so shut up). And then the whole Sunday judging debates with me old schoolmates and Boy. That last might not seem like much, but it comprises of some of my favourite pastimes, i.e:
TMI, do you think? I guess that's my cue to go to bed then. And when I wake up, it shall be to an entire ogle-fest of Winchester prettiboi. Ha! It's about time you paid me back, Life, you sonofabitch!
Good night, flist. Goodnight, moon.

- Gossiping about past debators.
- Rehashing old embarrassing debator stories.
- Strutting around school swearing a blue streak and wearing clothes just this side of the outright condemnable, just to prove to the old Alma Mater that thirteen years of being force-fed their conservative bullshit have failed dismally to prevent me from turning into an anti-religious, flamingly liberal, foul-mouthed bitch in stilletoes. Hurrah!
- Sitting in the staff room (so long forbidden to us lowly mortals) stuffing our faces with junk food bought with school money.
- Driving the current batch of inter-school debating talent up the freaking wall.
- Enjoying being sucked up to by the organizing committee.
- SPENDING THE WHOLE DAY WITH BOY. I have a wild desire to sneak off and make out with him in an empty classroom, just to give the school the finger in an even more pronounced fashion. Well, also because that would be delightfully naughty and hot. Boy would not allow it though. He is too frightfully proper. Really, I despair of that man sometimes. He doesn' t have a kink to save his life.
