Jan. 21st, 2008 08:46 pmI believe in astrology (it's a way of life in Sri Lanka) but I believe in traditional astrology practiced by Sri Lankans, where our astrologers make horoscopes for every baby born, according to the time of their birth and the horoscopes of their parents. It's a very intricate and precise tradition usually passed down through the generations, which contain a bookful of details about the individuals entire lifetime and require much interim interpretation. My maternal grnadfather used to be famous for the accuracy of his astrological interpretations.
So I was naturally predisposed to dissmiss this Zodiac Star Sign hype that is all the rage among Westerners, as so much over-generalized, commercialized bullshit being fed to the gullible masses.
Until I stumbled upon this: The Gemini Woman.
I am going to bold the phrases that jumped out at me.

I am a Gemini, and that is me. That is the most accurate description of me I have ever read, (although I'm not sure about all the hyperbole) . What impresses me is how specific and detailed the descriptions are, instead of the usual general fare that could easily be applied to any random person. I should put that in my profile.
