Awesomecakes: Grab 'em while they're pipin'!

First the Superntural fandom went collectively stupid over a "brutal honesty" meme (there is no such thing. Only nastiness cloaked as forthrightness) and now when the predictable has happened and many are left to lick their wounds and bathe them with tears, they have started up a love meme. Oh, SPN fandom, don't ever grow up. *g* *loves my silly fandom* 

Not that I object to the love meme thing. Everybody needs a little lovin'. We are mostly women here, after all and they say women are like the police - they can have all the evidence in the world, but they still try to get the confession. 

In fact, I was thinking of putting my name up there as well, when I realized I didn't need to. I know you love me. You make that clear to me with every comment you make, with your generosity, your constance and your empathy with me through my happiness as well as my sorrows. I'm not entirely sure I deserve it, because sometimes I am not as up to date with my own flist as I'd like to be and sometimes I feel like I may be ignoring you when I get caught up in my own life. But it's a wonderful gift to have and I'm not going to second-guess it. 

FLIST, YOU ARE OFFICIALLY FANTABULICIOUS! 

So here's the thing. I want anybody who's in the mood for a little lovin' to comment on my journal and I'll give you an Awesomecake, i.e tell you why exactly you are so fantastic and why I love having you on my flist. I have a lot of love to give these days, both IRL and on LJ, so get them Awesomecakes while they're hot!

Well, we're really too new as friends to know that much about each other. But I'm so glad to have somebody I can squee with about Bollywood! And you seem to have excellent taste...not just a mindless fangirl like so many, you actually look for meanings and messages behind things. You rate lyrics more than the melody and you aren't the kind of person who'll rate a song by how catchy it is. I think that makes a great meta on your personality. Also, you have a keen sense of heritage. You don't condone mutilating your language just so they can pander to the masses. Now I'm a Sri Lankan and I don't know Hindi that well, but i completely understand being protective of your culture and I admire that.

Of course, these are all just first impressions. If you think I'm wrong about something, you're welcome to put me right. =)

haha actually yes I did think that we were too new as friends for you to be able to comment so I didn't raise my hand. But wow surprisingly you have been very perceptive! I love the fact that you are such a good judge of character. And as I was reading the entry I will be honest I was very pleasantly surprised. I really liked reading how self assured you were about your f-list's love. It is to your and your f-list's credit. A lot of people on LJ sometimes post just to get attention and I like the fact that you aren't so. Also you seem like a friend who will give 100% to a friendship and I respect you for it ♥

Indeed I hope this is a lasting friendship. It has to last because then we can say we met because of Jab We Met heh.
