God I love those signs. Another socialist, baby-killing maggot for free speech! Not all Republicans want Sarah in the White House! Keep your church outta my state! Eddie Burke convinced me to be here(haha!) Think! It's not illegal yet! Don't insult my pitbull (priceless!). The Alaska Disasta!

You dare elect those neanderthal fuckwits to office right on the heels of eight years of Bush Embarrassment, and I will lose any and all respect I have for you. You have got a great Constitution going for you, except for that dodgy electoral college thing. Your women have come a long way. Don't let those self-righteous little turds and the puppet Supreme Court judges they've got lined up try and push women back to the days of coat-hanger abortions and pro-abstinence bullshit. I am counting on you against my better judgment, even though you actually let Dubya sit in the White House for not one but two terms.
Don't let your country become like mine.

Date: 2008-09-14 10:25 pm (UTC)Then again, it's the women. In Alaska, women make up only about a third of the (sparse) population. (Two to one. Which is why the women have a saying... "The odds are good, but the goods are odd.")
And... we still have a constitution? Are you sure? I haven't seen it in a while. I thought Bush had decided to wrap fish in it and chuck all the old laws.
Anyway... That rally is impressive. Very impressive.
And yes, I'm really really hoping that we'll finally get it right this time. It's a lot closer than it should be, and I'm worried, but I'm hoping. And doing what little I can.
